Jesus Saves

Jesus Saves - It is time for another sketch challenge at Seems a Little Sketchy. We have a new sponsor and WOW! was it nice to work with their images!

Here is our sketch for this fortnight. I turned it to help me visualize it better, then forgot to turn it back.

We are sponsored by Fitztown and they turned this gorgeous image into a digi image just for me!! How cool is that!

The image is so lovely, that I added only a ribbon, stickpin and sentiment.

Weave

Weave - Our fun, new challenge has started today at Crafts 4 Eternity. It is to use weaving on your card or project.

For my card, I used the ribbon weaving technique that has been used by others to made the weavon wreathes. I just laid mine out across instead of bring the ends together.

My branch is CL and my poinsetta is SB. with a gemstone in the center.

My baubles are SU using gold embossing powder on red card stock.

Jingle All the Way

Jingle All the Way - Our new challenge went up Friday at Alphabet Challenge Blog and I thought I had a week to go. Ekkkk! Luckly, I had this image and little kit already made, but I had planned to use this card for Crafts 4 Eternity and Alphabet Challenge, so I had to remove the element that I need next Friday for Crafts 4 Eternity. What is that element, you ask? I can't tell you yet. You will have to come back next week for that!

But because I am late for Alphabet Challenge Blog, please help cover me by going and checking out Alphabet Challenge Blog and join our challenge. It is a some what difficult one in that it is J for Jingle Bell. I used it for putting on the bell on this sweet little elf's hat, but you should see the clever ways that my team mates used it!

Here is a close up of this sweet little image by Mo Manning. I colored him with Copics and added a really fine glitter to the candy cane and around the edges of the image. I also added some Strawberry, Flower Soft to the pom pom that ties up his pants.

I added some glitter to the candy brads.

I made this card using the same supplies back when I first starting coloring with Copics, using the same markers that I had used way back when.

Nothing like looking back to see how far you have come. I think in my newer image, the colors are much more vibrant and there is a lot more definition in the face.

What do you think, have I improved?

Cotton Candy

Cotton Candy - We have a new challenge up at Crafts 4 Eternity. This week our challenge is Fabulous Food!!! This is a great time for this challenge with all the fun summer food. I think of picnics, barbecues and summer carnivals.

This sweet little image is Mo Mannings Cotton Candy. I love that the cotton candy is bigger than the girl. I colored her with Copics and added some glitter to the cotton candy, to give it that sugary look.

My flower is Heartfelt Creations.

My border is a SB and I added an edge of glitter and pearls. My paper is Summer Soul by Fancy Pants.

I colored her with Copics and added glitter to the Diamond Glaze while it was still wet.

Talking with the Moon

Talking with the Moon - Fairy day is coming up on June 24th, so we thought this was the perfect time for a challenge to use your fairies at Creative Card Crew!!

I have used A Day for Daisies talking with the moon image. I love this image and it was a great one to use my frisket and airbrush with my Copics.

I cut the image and mat with SB dies. I also used a SB Grand for the shape.

My leaves are HC. I stamped them on yellow card stock and then used 3D paint on them. Don't you love the shimmer on them? The flowers were from Michael's and the gorgeous yellow one, I picked up at the scrap booking convention that I went to last week. I added glitter to them.

The blue button I also picked up at the convention.

My image is Xeru of theToreads nymphs. Isn't he fun? I created a rock for him to stand on.

Going Home

Going Home - It is new challenge time at Crafts 4 Eternity!! This week we have a sketch for you. It is a really great one for a page, so that is what I do, although I do believe it would make a cute sketch too!

Here it is the sketch!

I am doing another page of my sweet little Inara. I started with some great paper by Prima. The brown is flocked, so it has some really fun texture. I inked the edges with Viva 3-D paint. It has a lot of sparkle in it in real life.

The flower is HC and I used a swirly SB for the "leaves." The punched flowers is MS.

Here is the sweet face of my Inara. You can see that she still had her hospital bracelet on. She was her going home for the first time photo.

YAY!

YAY! - It is time for another fun challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity!!! Yay!!! This week our challenge is masculine. With Father's day right around the corner, it is the perfect time for this theme.

I made an accordion card using my new Elizabeth Craft Accordion dies. This is a fantistic die! So easy to do a really great card that looks like it took hours to make.

This is what my card looks like folded flat for mailing. I used a birthday stamp set by Autumn Leaves for the hats and sentiment. I also used 2 different SU punches for the hats.

Here is the card opened.

My little guy is by our sponsor, Crafty Sentiments. I colored him and all of the images from the Autumn Leaves with Copics.

Another panel.

Front when it is flipped.

My red designer paper is Bazzill Basic's, Red Devil. The blue is Studio G.

Nautical

Nautical - It is time for a new challenge at The Sweet Pea Stampers. This fortnight's challenge is a photo inspiration.

Here is our photo for your inspiration.

For my card, I went with a nautical theme. This card uses the fold that a lady's son came home with a magic trick, but she was so curious about the folds, that she created this fold for card makers. I tried to find the tutorial that I used, but I could not even remember her name, much less her blog. Her directions were very easy to follow.

My image is Spring Nocturne ©ching chou kuik by Sweet Pea Stamps. I used the digi, but she is also available in rubber. She is a gorgeous image and so fun to color with my Copics.

Here is a close up of the different flowers that I used on the front panel.

I used a MS punch for the Wings on the inner panels.

This inner panel uses only the design paper, which is Authentique's, Anchored.

Here is the card opened.

The top inner panel uses a SB die, which I cut in red and navy and altered them on top of each other. My sentiment is by The Paper Company.

I finished off my card with some tiny gemstones under the sentiment and a row bling a the bottom.
