Baby Girl Halen

Baby Girl Halen - For today's DT card for Sew Many Challenges, I used the Halen in basket image. The challenge this week is "New Things." Halen was colored with Copic's and I used a tiny bit of stickles on her nose. I also used some liquid pearls for her wisp of bangs. I cut Halen with a Spellbinders Nestie enbossed and distressed using the same Nestie and some tea dye distress ink. The DP is unknown. It was a scrap in my scrapbox.

I used lots of gemstones to give her some bling and the little bow was a stocking stuffer that my daughter gave me for Christmas.

Butterfly New Year

Butterfly New Year - This lovely image is by Michelle Perkett. I love how she has butterflies everywhere. Butterflies are often used in ;the spring to repersent new life, so I thought butterflies could also repersent the new year. LOL
I colored the Butterly Fairy with Copic's.
I added just a tiny bit of fine glitter to the buterflies.

I used DP from my stash. The sentiment is a stamp. I used butterflies from my stocking. Thank you Lindsay! She always does my stocking, so that I too have some surprises!

Scandinavian Christmas song

Scandinavian Christmas Song - This group of carolers is by Michelle Perkett. She does the most fabulous images. I love all the details she puts in her designs. I went for a Scandinavian theme for this card. Scandinavian papers and designs seem to be all the rage right now and I thought this image lended itself to it. I colored the image with Copic's and then used lots of fine glitter on the snowmen and snow dog.
The DP is by K & Comany. Isn't it yummy? It is double sided so I just flipped it to get the other design. Ribbon is from the ribbon shop at Michael's and I tied it using my Boweasy. I finished it off with 2 buttons.

Sharing With Someone Special

Sharing with someone special - This weeks challenge for Sew Many Challenges is an easy one - anything goes. Remember at Sew Many Challenges, you don't have to use a Sew Many Cards image, but we love it when you do.
This is my DT card. I couldn't resist one last Christmas card.
Toga wearing Christmas hat was just calling out "Color me." He is colored with Copic's and I gave his hat some glitter. I actually used old fashioned glitter instead of stickles!
DP is from a Seasonal Shop pack at Hobby Lobby. I used an entire pad of this DP last year and was thrilled to see it again this year.

The velvet flower brad is by creative imagnations, the sequined wire is a packing trim from the Dollar Tree. It was only 25 cents.

This sentiment was in my stocking. Yes, we celebrated early; as my husband is here on his R & R from Iraq and has to go back before this post will go live. My daughter Lindsay, always does my stocking so that I have a surprise as well.
This sentiment just cried out to me the following sentiment that I put inside the card. Z=no time left Y=yuletide green and red

Got Cake?

Got Cake? - This little fellow is by Inkadinkadoo. I used some DP that has been in my stash forever. The challenge this week at Creative Card Crew is Christmas birthday. I have to say it was a nice change from all the Christmas. I have been longing for colors that are not red and green. #60 black and white with a splash of yellow

Winter Goddess

Winter Goddess - I have another holiday card today. This is Winter Goddess by Michelle Perkett. She is so quick to color up, which is a real plus during the busy Christmas season.
I colored her with Copics and added stickles to the stars and I used my snow writer for the snowflakes. I put some diamond glaze on her eyes, to make them shine. It feels really cool with all the different textures.

The DP is some that I have had in my stash for awhile. I tied some floral picks with a ribbon and heat embossed the sentiment which is hard to read, but it says "Happy Holidays."

Muffled Hop - Today is the blog hop for Michelle Perkett's studio. If you arrived from Marion's, you are on the right track. If you are just starting, go to Michelle's blog. Michelle is giving away some great images. This beauty is Tia. She is so awesome to color.
I colored Tia with Copics, I added some strawberry flower soft. This was cut with a Spellbinders and I used lots of little gemstones. I also used some gold glittered tulle to give her some bling.

My magical Christmas memory is having my husband home from Iraq for a few days.He will have to go back in a few days, but for the moment he is here and it is wonderful.

I have a letter to give and my letter is E. When you know the answer you can convo/E-mail Michelle at:

Merry Christmas,

Next is Tammy's

Snowed Sammy

Snowed Sammy - The challenge this week at Sew Many Challenges is Snow. This adorable image is Sammy the Seal. Isn't he adorable? You can get him here.
I colored Sammy with Copic's. I gave his ice block some Diamond Glaze. The snow is glitter and the snowflakes are covered with Stickles. DP is DCWV Rustic pack. Ribbon is Offray. I used a gemstone charm and a snowflake shank button that I cut the shank off of. #95 sketch

Animal's With Attitude!

Animal's With Attitude! - This critter is Pugly Santa by Digi's With Attitude! What do you think he is saying? Yes, that's right, how did you know. LOL I didn't give him a sentiment, so that each of us could think up something different.

The challenge this week at Digi's With Attitude! Challenge is Anything Christmas. I colored Pugly with Copic's and gave his nose some Diamond Glaze and his Santa fur some Stickles.

I cut the image and matting with 2 different shapes of Spellbinders. The DP is from the Seasonal Shop at Hobby Lobby. I added tiny ruby gemstones to the center of the snowflake on each oranament.

Beary Christmas

Beary Christmas - Michelle Perkett designed this fun lovin bear. The challenge at her studio this week is Christmas. I had not colored him before so I wanted to play with him.

I colored him with Copics, then added some Diamond Glaze to his nose. Then I found an old container of chuncky glitter that I haded to make the snow. I love the shimmer in the glitter. The DP is from the Season Shop at Hobby Lobby that I have had in my stash for about 3 years. I found some shank buttons that I cut the shank off and added stickles to them.

He's home!!!

For all my followers who know that my husband has been in Iraq, he is home for a 10 day R & R. He arrived yesterday. It is great to have him home even for so short a time.

We will be heading up to Oklahoma to see how the building progress of our new home is going. He has not seen the property yet, only the photos that I have sent him, so this will be exciting for him. We will also meet with our builder, who is R & R. So for Rick's R & R we will meet with R & R. How cool is that.

Alice in Wonderland

Alice in Wonderland - Alice is another adorable image by Michelle Perkett. Michelle's images are always have lots of swirls. They are so girly and that is what I love about them. This image is in the spotight today and you can go to Michelle's challenge blog to see what some of the other's on the design team have done with it.
I colored Alice with Copic's and her trim and bows were colored with Spica pens so they would sparkle. The steam in her cup is flocked to give it a wispy look. Her eyes and shoes have some Diamond Glaze to make them shine. I cut the image with a Spellbinders nestie. The flower is by K & Company. DP is from DCWV's Winter Wonder (how perfect is that for Alice.)

This is a fun side easel card. It pops up in the middle!

Digi's with Attitude! hop winner!

KC, that is YOU.

E-mail to claim your prize.

Simply Gretchen

Simply Gretchen - Clean and simple is not my usual style, but I was in the mood to try the partial embossing technique. It was fun and so easy to do, and I think it really highlights the image. This is my DT card for Digi's With Attitude!challenge #10. The challenge this week is an easy one - Use a digi stamp. I choose Elf Grumpy Gretchen. She is ready for the holidays! Are you? I am NOT.
I embossed my white card stock with CB Swirls I cut my image and red card stock with a Spellbinders nestie. The Rejoice is an Inkadinkadoo stamp and I used red flower soft on Gretchen's hat. The rejoice has stickles in the stars.

I hope you will join us with this challenge. It is an easy one and you could win a gift certificate to Digi's with Attitude! store and there is also a digi paper from Mygrafco. #31 Christmas movie inspired - Elf

Hippo Wishes

Hippo Wishes - This fun little hippo is Harley and Halo by Sew Many Cards. The challenge this week at Sew Many Challenges is flower power. This is my DT card for it.
Sew Many Cards has almost 30 different characters. This is the only one with the Halo the Humming bird. All of the images have the cute, little patches on them.
For my flowers, I used some that I cut off the stems that I had picked up at 90% off last spring. It pays to dig through those sale bins. The ribbon was another bargin that I picked up at Tuesday Morning. The purple wire I just wrapped around a pencil a few times.

The snapps and DP were other clearance things that I had gotten at different places. I think the most expensive thing that I used for this card was the stickles that I put in the center of the flowers around Harley.

Christmas Double Slider

Christmas Double Slider Card - This is a fun style card. I looks like an A-2 size card, but when you pull the ribbon, both sides pull out. The secret to this fun card is a plastic bag! This is my DT card for Creative Card Crew. We are sponsored this week by Doodle Pantry and One Stop Cards. The sentiment on the right side of my card is one of the sentiments that you can get at Doodle Pantry and it is a FREEBIE. I love freebies, you can check them out here. One Stop carries a variety of craft supplies.

DP is from my stash, just odd and ends from sale bins. I distressed with Tim Holtz's distress ink. I used peeled pain and brick red. The punch is MS. The stamps are Inkadinkadoo. The cardinal is heat embossed. I stamped it in red and used clear embossing powder. Everything was cut with Spellbinders nesties. I added gemstones to the images it give it some sparkle. Heat it up wet embossing

Enchanted Love

Enchanted Love - I adore this image by Michelle Perkett. This weeks challenge at Michelle Challenge blog is Once about a time and I was so excited about having a good excuse to use Enchanted Love. While it is true that I am ready to work with colors other than red and green, this green was refreshing to work with, maybe just because it is not paired with red.
DP is Allegancy by K and Company. The silver metalic is from the dollar spot at Target. The ribbon is Dots and Dashes. Flowers are prima.

Enchanted love is colored with Copic's. distressed with Tim Holtz Peeled Paint (my favorite) ink I used a stickles on the wings. I put Dew Drops around the image that I had cut with a Spellbinders Nestie. #59 Grey, green and white, optional silver

Inner Glow

Inner Glow - For today's post, I used one of Michelle Perkett's Elements. This one is fire. Isn't she fun?
The camera really did not do justice to this image. In real life her hair is brown and the flowers around the edge are yellow and not green.
The DP is Old World Stack by DCWV. Ribbon is Celebrate It. The candle punch is by EK Seccuss. I also used 3 dew drops. The tiny red pearls on her head peice are liquid pearls. I used yellow stickles on the flowers that surround her. I went over the swirls on her clothes with my Sukura pen to made them sparkle. Again the camera did not do this justice.
The challenge this week at Michell Perkett's Studio is to make your own background. There is still time to enter. #81 light up the night-candle

Grumpy Gretchen is ready for the office Christmas party. Greche is the girl Friday at the office and has been tasked with doing the shopping for the boss. So why is she Grumpy? Because her boss is cheap and did not give her much of a budget to get the job done. Just like the "boss" at my house. Actually my "boss" (DH) is pretty generous, I just always want to get way to much for everyone.
Gretchen is dressed for the party in Copic's and I gave her some dazzling gifts using Spica pens. DP is from the Seasonal Shop at Hobby Lobby. Gemstones swirl is by Want2scrap.
I have a digi image of Present Grumpy Grechten to give to out. So leave me a comment and I will draw from the comments.
After you comment head over to Peg's blog.

Hot Chocolate

Hot Coaco - One of our family traditions for the winter at our home is that after the children played outide in the snow, they would come in and have a mug of Hot chocolate. This little cutie looks about ready to come inside for her mug.

The image is by Sew Many Cards. There is a huge sale going on there and the images are to cute to pass up.

Sorry about the glare. The DP has a shin on it and it didn't photograph well.
This is my DT card for Sew Many Challenges. The challenge this week is snowflakes.
I colored her with Copic's and added a pom pom to her hat. I cut the mug card with my Cricut useing Gypsy wanderings that I welded together with my Gypsy. The image is cut with a spellbinder. The sentiment is by Inkadinkadoo. I added some gemstones to the sentiment. Y = Yuletide Holly and berries #18 dreaming of a white christmas
